In Time of Need

Hebrews 4:16 proclaims, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

There is little doubt America is in a time of need. Maybe you or your family is in a specific time of need.

And through If 7:14, we are together praying for a revival, but let us not forget that it is only through Christ that we have the ability to ask God for such things. At one time, drawing near the throne of God would have been a terrifying thing. Before His holiness, we in our sin could not hope to stand. But because of the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross, we are able to come sinless before God. We are washed clean before the throne of grace and make requests not as a sinner rejected but as a saint redeemed. Therefore, with confidence we can draw near to God and receive the grace and mercy only He can offer.

It is so easy to forget how amazing our ability to go before the Lord is. Let us be forever thankful and filled with awe by the cross.
