Father, there are so many things that are sent to distract us. Daily we are overwhelmed with things that simply do not matter. Satan is out to steal, to kill and to destroy. He doesn’t care about the means that he uses to bring destruction. I ask Father that You would help each of us to willingly turn our hearts, minds, lives, and emotions to You. You care for us and You said we can cast every care on You. You also said “come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden and You promise to give us rest.” We are in need of rest. Thank You Jesus for being our Shepherd who leads us beside still waters so our souls can be restored. You call us away from the busyness of life to tell and show us great things if only we would go with You. Father, thank You for being more than enough and for always helping us. You reign for all eternity because everything is according to Your purpose and Your plan. Teach us to trust You, to never lean to our own understanding and simply to acknowledge You in all of our ways. You promise to direct our path because the steps of a good man are always ordered by the Lord. You know those that are Yours and You will not lose even one of Your children. Help us to be tied up and tangled up in Jesus and ready to give the only One worthy an account of our lives in Jesus name. We wait and look for You Father. Help us to keep oil in our lamps we pray. Thank You Jesus.
