Worry! Who, me?

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6 NASB®

Lets’ see –  the Zika virus moved into the US, Turkey is in a crisis as it turns hard to Islam, those of us who worked hard to save up for retirement are watching our funds slip away as inflation outpaces earned interest, governments around the world are taking their countries into economic crisis, America isn’t excited about its presidential candidates and we too wonder when the economic hammer will fall, ISIS keeps rearing up its lethal head and on and on are things to fret over.  We could fill the page of despairing news but what good what that do. Besides, there are many wonderful things happening too.

Corrie Ten Boom once said “There is no panic in heaven. God has no problems. Only plans.”  Is God taking delight over the events happening with His creation? No, but what is happening is a result of mankind turning his back on God.  It’s no surprise to Him and shouldn’t be to us. His plan is still in effect and it’s a grand plan! One day there will be the sound of a horn, a sound the whole world will hear and God will take His church home and will then make all things new as all who rejected Him, along with the grand Deceiver, will be cast away forever.

Till then, may our souls be still as we trust Him. All will be well. Life may sting a bit but all will be well. This is God’s promise to you and me.

“Quiet our hearts Lord. O Lord, forgive us for we don’t want to be among those who disappoint you.  Strengthen us. Cause our feet to walk steadfastly in Your will – always. Because of You, we have much to be thankful for. Because of Jesus, we have hope. All our praise to you Lord. All our praise to You. Amen.”

Have a godly day,

Dave
