“Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the word of his servant? Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.” –Isaiah 50:10
The Bible tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning place for wisdom. That just might qualify us for being one of the least wise places ever. We live in a day when even something as basic as the Ten Commandments is being removed from public places. This is simply foolish. Perhaps it is time once again to begin to teach and preach about the fear of the Lord.
Ask Him for the strength of His Holy Spirit to enable you to obey His Word.
Pray for a fresh wave of the fear of the Lord to fall upon the church in America.
Father, I come before You with fear and trembling. It is because of Your great mercy and love that I fear You. I know You are always right in Your judgments. Help me to be one who obeys Your Word. Enable me through Your Spirit to do what I hear. Help me not to be just a hearer of the Word, but a doer. Lord, our nation needs the moral and spiritual backbone of a people who fear You and obey Your Word. May the fear of the Lord fall upon Your people in our day!
