EXALT CHRIST THE LORD OUR SAVIOR

“Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord.”  Luke 2:11

REFLECTION
We all have a deep desire to be a light in a world so full of darkness, but we can never be the source of the light, the flame – only the lamp from which it is dispelled. A lamp shines because of the power within it. The day Jesus was born, he became time eternal. His birth was the pivotal point for our conversion.

Today we are in the right place and time to preach and live his message of hope. Jesus reminds us to serve from wherever we are, pray at all times and always preach the gospel of hope. If we try to lead others from our own strength and power alone, we will fall short. In fact, we will fail. In these moments of failure or when we see the failure of those around us, we must remember to humble ourselves and kneel before the Lord to ask for his forgiveness and guidance. Once our heart is clean and our will is in line with the Savior, we can stand up in His power and complete the work he has called us to do.

PRAYER
Lord, please send your guidance and protection over the states of Florida, Georgia, Hawaii and Idaho. Remind their leaders to seek your wisdom and peace to bring healing to hearts full of anger and violence. We ask that many will put their hope in Christ Jesus, as their Savior and Lord. Amen.
